The Otterbein women’s soccer team has now won 10 games in a row after defeating Wilmington 4-0 on Tuesday.
The Cardinals' record now improves to 12-2 overall, with a 6-0 conference record. The team has been on a winning streak since early September after two losses against Denison and Centre.
Otterbein played a stout first half, outshooting Wilmington 11-2 and controlling possession of the ball.
Delaney Earl started scoring for the Cardinals in the 27th minute of the game. She was assisted by Priscilla Severance to put the Cardinals ahead 1-0.
In the second half, the Cardinals began to pull away. Severance scored with an assist by Annie Mosca in the 52nd minute to make it 2-0. Shortly after, in the 56th minute, Bella Shivley scored her team-high 13th goal of the season.
Hayley Hotchkiss, assisted by Holly Bernhold, scored the final Cardinal goal of the game in the 77th minute.
The Cardinals dominated the shot battle, outshooting Wilmington 30-3.
The next women's soccer game will be against Muskingum on Saturday Oct. 2 at 4 p.m.
