Supreme Court ruling on political campaign contributions: This week’s Supreme Court ruling on McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission removed personal campaign contribution limits. The ruling extended the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United ruling that made corporate campaign contributions unlimited but kept personal contribution limits in place.
Afghanistan votes for next president: Afghanistan’s election for the next president occurred in the midst of shootings and bad weather. The election will decide who succeeds Hamid Karzai as president.
March jobs numbers are out: The first Friday of every month means the monthly jobs report. The U.S. economy added 192,000 jobs in March, and the unemployment rate remained at 6.7 percent.
