Democratic debate to be held on one night only

DNC scrapped proposed second day of debate

The Democratic National Committee announced Friday that the next Democratic presidential debate will only be held on October 15. 

The debate will air live at 8 p.m. ET from the Rike Center. 

Twelve candidates are expected to participate in the debate: former Vice President Joe Biden; New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker; South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg; former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro; Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard; California Sen. Kamala Harris; Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar; former Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke; Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders; businessman Tom Steyer; Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren; and businessman Andrew Yang
