Otterbein’s club hockey team won their first game of the season against Wooster College with a final score of 3-5 on March 2.
Wooster was ahead for the first two periods 2-1 and later by 3-2, but Otterbein prevailed in the third period.
The game was delayed three minutes during the second period after a small fight broke out when an Otterbein player collided into a female Wooster player, causing more players to come and begin shoving one another.
Team captain Hayden Heilshorn said the team is trying to have their next game on March 31, but need to raise money to play.
“We need $560 for a two hour game so that is what the team will be doing for the next couple weeks, trying to raise the money to play another game,” said Heilshorn.
