The Otterbein Cardinals men’s soccer team lost their second straight OAC game in a shutout by the Blue Streaks of John Carroll on Wednesday, 3-0.
Within the first six minutes, the Blue Streaks took a 1-0 lead after senior midfielder Thor Eriksen scored on a sweep around the goal.
The Blue Streaks would score their second goal at the 19-minute mark from senior Nathan Sharbaugh to take a 2-0 lead in the first half.
In the first half, the Cardinals had no answer for the Blue Streak’s offense, struggling to get open shots to cut into John Carroll’s lead. This would continue for the Cardinals in the second half as John Carroll would score their final goal just minutes after halftime.
The Cardinals drop their second straight game in a row bringing their record to 5-4 overall and 0-2 in OAC play.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 against Muskingum at Clements Field starting at 3:30 p.m.
