Center for Community Engagement hosts service hour opportunities

The events will be held throughout the duration of the semester

The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) is hosting service events every weekday throughout the spring semester.

“It’s a way to get people involved in community service,” Bailey Johnson, a freshman and member of the CCE said.

Anybody who participates will be provided with a service log and a program guide. On the back of the service log are the instructions. After one hour of community service, participants are to place one sticker onto the log until they reach the end.

These volunteer opportunities fulfill service hours required for different majors, as well as Greek life.

Many courses and extracurriculars were either called off or had to completely change when COVID-19 hit a year ago.

Students who are looking for ways to expand their networks may find comfort in these opportunities. The schedule of events is listed below:

America Reads - Every Tuesday from 2:45-3:45 p.m.

Bees - Every Friday from 2:45-3:45 p.m.

Grandma's House - Every Friday from 2-3 p.m.
