Living in dorm can lead to some rather lackluster meals. From instant ramen to anything else you can throw in a microwave, college meals are not the most exciting. If you need to spruce up your dorm meals, try these recipes.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
½ bell pepper, diced
2 slices of ham, diced
¼ cup spinach, chopped
Salt and pepper
Preparation:
1. Mix all ingredients in a mug
2. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring halfway through
3. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
½ cup pasta of choice
½ cup of water
3 tablespoons of milk
Salt and pepper for taste
¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Fresh chive and garnish by preference
Preparations:
1. Mix water, pasta and salt in a mug
2. Microwave for 2-3 minutes, stir
3. Add milk and cheese and stir (add salt and pepper if needed)
4. Microwave in 30 second increments until melted, stirring in between
5. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
3 drops of vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1 egg yolk
¼ cup of all purpose flour
Chocolate chips
Preparation:
1. Melt butter in microwave
2. Add sugars, vanilla and salt, stir to combine
3. Add in egg yolk
4. Slowly add in flour and stir until all combined
5. Add in desired amount of chocolate chips
6. Cook for 40-60 seconds
7. Enjoy!
Spaghetti squash pasta
Ingredients:
1 spaghetti squash(produce)
Jar of favorite pasta sauce
Preparation:
1.Cut squash in half and remove, seeds and guts
2. Cook in microwave for 10-15 minutes
3. Use a fork to shred the inside into a pasta like form
4. Add desired amount of pasta sauce to a mug
5. Microwave sauce for 1 minute
6. Add sauce and squash to a bowl and enjoy!
