The Otterbein Cheerleading Team is currently preparing for their first competition season since 2010. T&C Media reporter Schalischa Petit-De talked with coach Regina Smith, along with some of the cheerleaders to know more about what stunts they've been working on, the challenges they're facing, and the team’s relationship with one another. The Cardinal Cheerleaders will begin their competition season in January 2018. They will compete in Michigan, Canada and end in Florida for Nationals. Otterbein Students Protest Against ICE
January 22On January 20, 2026, students at Otterbein University (and nearby residents) gather together marching with signs, megaphones, and speakers to protest the recent ICE activity. The protest starts with a National Walkout at 2:00 PM and the crowd processes through the streets of Uptown Westerville immediately preceding the arrival at City Hall.
