Otterbein's Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) hosted "Dress for Success" event. A Macy's representative demonstrated how to dress in the workplace. The students learned the differences between professional and business casual as well as do's and don'ts when it comes to proper attire.
Otterbein's art department faculty created pieces based around the theme "Opening Doors to the World." The exhibition was filled with pieces that lead way through storytelling, place, and identity in African culture. The exhibition will be on display until February 9, 2018 in the Miller Gallery located in the Art & Communications building.
Otterbein's Risk Management Office paired up with Student Affairs to host a safety week for its faculty and students. The week included informational sessions on active shooter training, drug and alcohol abuse, and mental health.
Otterbein Greek life held their annual Trick or Treat for Cans on Tuesday, October 31st. Students from every greek chapter went door to door asking for can food donations to donate to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (W.A.R.M) and Otterbein's Promise House.
National Election Day is November 7th and many Otterbein students aren't aware of what they will be voting for on their local ballot. Some of the issues included in the upcoming ballot for Westerville include rights for crime victims, state agencies paying for prescription drugs, liquor policies, and officials for the city.

The Otterbein athletic department has hired Jason Griffiths to be the new men's soccer coach starting the 2017 season. Since being hired, he has cut the team down and reworked their strategies.
