Otterbein University struggles with heating issues

Several academic, administrative and residence halls experienced heating issues over the weekend and into this week due to a boiler and heating system malfunction.

On Monday, an excavation crew arrived at Towers Hall to "make repairs in the tunnel system" according to an email sent to the Otterbein community from Richard Tiburzio, deputy chief of the Otterbein Police Department. The following day, Otterbein announced that heat had been restored to Clippinger Hall, and that "temporary heating units have arrived on campus". Otterbein's facilities team is working to restore the heat in Towers, Roush, and Cowan Hall, as those are the three remaining buildings without heat.

At the time of writing, it is unknown when the heating will be restored to these buildings. The exact nature of the malfunction is also currently unknown.
