Otterbein too much for Capital to handle for second consecutive season

Otterbein football has defeated Capital for the second year in a row, this time on their homecoming weekend.

A first win for first year head coach Dave Marquis, Otterbein now moves to 1-6 on the year following a 20-19 victory over their rivals in the Battle for the Oar.

After narrowly winning thanks to a blocked go-ahead field goal with 56 seconds remaining, Otterbein has now taken down Capital for two consecutive years, serving as their only victories over the last three seasons.

A big game on the ground by junior running back Matt Griffin, providing 129 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, helps to push Otterbein to matching it's record from last season. They now look forward to playing at Heidelberg next week, fresh off of this win, potentially gaining some positive momentum in the latter half of this year.
