Otterbein lost yet another close football game this past weekend to Baldwin-Wallace, 27 to 21. This now makes the team 1-4 overall and 0-4 in the conference. There is no hope for this team. This is how I view the rest of this season.

The way I see it, the Cards will end up 4-6 and will try again next year. This week the Cards host their rival, Capital University, and I think they will win this game with the crowd and the emotion on their side.

After Capital the Cards will go on the road and lose to Muskingum and Mount Union. Muskingum is currently 4-1 and ranked fourth in the OAC. Mount Union is 5-0 and is ranked first in the OAC. The Cards won’t come close.

They will then come back home and host Marietta and Wilmington for their final two games. The Cards will win both of these games because they match up quite well. The only way they can lose is if they don’t finish.

One win against a bitter rival, two losses on the road, and then two wins at home. If the Cards think I’m wrong then prove it. Win four of your final five to go .500 or win all five to make this season a successful one. I don’t give them a chance, but I’ve been wrong before. Am I wrong this time?
