This Sunday will consist of many NFL football games but the one with the most importance is the matchup between Dallas and New York. This is the battle for first place in the NFC East and a home game in the playoffs. There’s a lot on the line, even the jobs for each head coach.

Right now the Cowboys are 7-5 and the Giants are 6-6. The Cowboys are coming off a horrible loss to the Cardinals in which Jason Garrett iced his own kicker. Before that however they had a four game winning streak which took them to first place in the division.

The Giants are on the opposite path. They are currently on a four game losing streak including a three point loss to Green Bay last week and a seven point loss to Philadelphia two weeks before that. They really need a win.

Whichever team loses, their head coach will probably get fired. Jason Garrett is in his first season after winning the job last year when he beat the Giants and had a 5-3 record. Coughlin however has started very well in the first half of seasons before and then collapsed in the second half, costing them a shot to the playoffs.

Garret’s on the hot seat because of his decision not to trust Romo late in games. Couglin on the other hand is in his third season of starting great and then losing multiple games, costing his team a shot at the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see who wins and what happens in the aftermath of the team that loses. I haven’t seen anything like this before so I can’t wait to see what happens.
