Now that the Pack are 12-0 everyone is buzzing about whether they will go undefeated like the Patriots in 2007. There’s a good possibility that they do it with the kind of team they have.

The Packers have arguably the best quarterback in the NFL right now, Aaron Rodgers, who couldn’t throw an interception with his eyes closed. He has the highest passer rating through the first 12 weeks in recorded history.

He also has 3,844 passing yards, 37 touchdown passes, and 5 interceptions. His touchdown to interception ratio is 7:1, not bad for a Super Bowl winning QB. Rodgers is also on pace to break Dan Marino’s passing record of 5,041 yards and Tom Brady’s touchdown passing record of 50. Whether that happens remains to be seen.

The Packers remaining opponents are the Raiders, Chiefs, Bears, and Lions. I think they win all of them because of multiple reasons. The first is Rodgers of course along with that offense. The second is there defense which has gotten 27 turnovers and four touchdowns. The third is coach, Mike McCarthy, who is a genius. He’s really good at creating different offensive and defensive schemes as well as letting his quarterback make plays.

Those teams all have their own problems. The Raiders have a rough around the edges quarterback in Carson Palmer. The Chiefs have Tyler Palko who struggles against good defenses while the Bears have Cutler and Forte out for maybe the rest of the season. The last is the Lions who don’t have enough composure to go through a game without any unsportsmanlike calls.

The Packers stand alone as the most complete out of all those teams. They have few injuries and great leadership. They also have Super Bowl talent and a strong desire to repeat. The only way I see them not going undefeated is if McCarthy sits his starters.

That probably won’t happen since the players have said that they want to go unbeaten and the fans are craving it. I would certainly love to see it be done again. Maybe this time they win the Super Bowl and become the first team to go 19-0. Wouldn’t that be something?
