The Bucks are currently 8-0 and have outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points per game. Now granted they have played 6 teams that are in conferences that no one has heard of but they have beaten those teams by an average of 34 points. That’s really good.
The two other teams were 12th ranked Florida who was 8th at the time, and the 5th ranked Duke Blue Devils who were 4th when the played. OSU beat Florida by 7 even though they controlled the entire game by 15 to 20 points. Duke caught up because Matta put in his backups.
Duke on the other hand was a different story. The Bucks took the lead early in the first half and kept going, not once giving up their lead. They lead by over 20 points the entire game. Duke had no response to OSU’s players such as Craft, Buford, Sullinger, and Thomas. All of them totaled to 76 points. The rest of the team only scored nine.
After just eight games I think that this team is better than the 2006 team which had Greg Oden, David Lighty, and Mike Conely Jr. That team was good but this one is better because they cover the main areas which are point, forward, and guard. It sounds like an NBA team but it’s the college version.
They’re kind of like the Fab Five but this team has leadership, a key aspect in college basketball. I still think that UNC will go to the Final Four Championship but maybe they’ll go against the Bucks. I would certainly watch that one.
