This past Sunday the Bengals and the browns faced off and it caught me by surprise. I thought that the Bengals would win by over ten points, not by three. Maybe I overrated them or maybe I underestimated how good the browns actually were.

In case you missed it the Bengals won by a field goal, 23-20. The Browns controlled the first half jumping out to a 17-7 lead. In the second half however the Bengals came back scoring 16 points to the Browns three. The Browns could’ve had the lead, 23-20 but the long snapper, Ryan Pointbriand, had another horrible snap that affected Phil Dawson’s mind and caused him to miss the kick. That gave the Bengals enough time with a short field to take the lead and win the game.

As a result of this game the Browns cut Pointbriand and Christian Yount to replace him. I guess they hope he will be better even though Pointbriand had been to the Pro Bowl twice. Now the Browns have five games left and I think they lose all of them. They have to play the Ravens and the Steelers twice, guaranteed losses. The only one that I give them a chance but they will still lose is Arizona because they have their backup QB, John Skelton, starting and It’s at Arizona.

The Bengals however will win two or three of their final five games. I think they lose to the Steelers and Ravens because those teams have the better quarterback which is what it takes to win in this league. I think they win against Arizona and St. Louis because the Bengals have the better offense. The one I’m not sure about is the Texans because they don’t have Schaub but they do have Andre Johnson and Arian Foster, two dynamic weapons that will be the reason why the Bengals will lose.

Still I can’t wait to see how it all ends. Will the Bengals win enough games keep the Jets at bay or will they falter and not make the postseason yet again. Should be interesting.
