Dwight Howard is currently wanted by many teams in the NBA. It’s not that big of a surprise. He’s the number 1 center in the league and any team that gets him will be upgraded astronomically. The only question is who will end up getting him?
Howard has said that he would like to stay in Orlando if they could get another big. How about Chris Paul or Deron Williams? He will however be a free agent next year and might look to go to the Lakers and team up with Kobe.
I think he gets traded or leaves after this year. He’s currently in the same situation that LeBron was in over a year ago. LeBron left because Cleveland couldn’t get any other big name players. They even tried to reach Chris Bosch but he said he didn’t want to live in Cleveland. Orlando also can’t get anyone because they’re not a viable team in the NBA. They don’t have any attraction that stars want.
Now I could be wrong. Like I said, Howard would like to stay in Orlando if they get someone. I would tell the Owner, get some players. He should trade Hedo Turkoglu and Gilbert Arenas for someone that can help Howard. Those guys are nothing more than a distraction and there not as good as some people think.
If they do that, then they might keep him. Otherwise Howard will go to L.A., make movies, win titles, and become a star. I would love to see that frankly but I know Orlando doesn’t. So get some players that can help Howard out and you might be able to hold onto him. Who knows? Maybe it’ll work.
