Otterbein radio station, WOBN, will be hiring five positions. The positions include: Station Manager, Music Director, Traffic & Continuity, Station Administrator and Sports. Applicants will be reviewed starting Friday November 3rd and hiring will begin on November 6th. Positions will start January 2018 and end in December. All applicants must be certified to be on air by December 4th, 2017.
Spinning Disc Records, located on 18 W College Ave., officially opened its doors on Tuesday October 17th. Owners of the store, Ron and Toby Smith, have been collecting vinyls since they were children. After 40 years of marriage and collecting vinyls together, they opened Spinning Disc Records. The store is open Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Otterbein head volleyball coach Monica Wright strives for a championship mindset after the team’s 201st win against their rival, Capital University. Wright was awarded for her 200th win before the game vs Capital on September 29.

Desmond Fernandez didn’t expect to enjoy theatre when he first began.
The question of “Who will take my place?” is common among students moving out of their first home away from home: their residence hall. The person who will take the student’s spot might not even go to Otterbein. During the summer Otterbein will allow around 70 organizations to rent out dorms while students are away.
It’s tradition: a mob of people lined up outside the doors of Schneider’s Bakery at 1 a.m. Customers used to need cash in hand to buy a doughnut and a carton of milk for $1.25. But on May 12, 2017, Katie Zvolanek became the first person to swipe her card at Schneider’s in the 61 years it has been open.
