Otterbein women's volleyball will host the regional Division III NCAA Tournament starting November 10. Their opponent is Cabrini. A win could lead to a rematch with conference rival Ohio Northern on November 11. The regional championship is November 12.
Otterbein men's soccer will host the first and second rounds of the regional Division III NCAA Tournament beginning on Saturday, Nov. 11. They won the OAC Tournament Saturday, Nov. 4. Their opponent is Medaille at 5 p.m.. Kenyon and Transylvania are in the other first round game. Saturday winners will play on Sunday, Nov. 12, with the winner advancing to sectionals.
Otterbein's Promise House has an Adopt the Pantry Program. The program allows different organizations on campus to work with the Promise House to raise funds and donate food for students in need. The Promise House has been "adopted" by the Department of Health and Sport Sciences. They are working with Bon Appetite to put on a cash round up around campus.

Otterbein Greek life held their annual Trick or Treat for Cans on Tuesday, October 31st. Students from every greek chapter went door to door asking for can food donations to donate to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (W.A.R.M) and Otterbein's Promise House.
The men's soccer team finished their regular season after a 1-0 victory over Mount Union on October 28th. This week the team is preparing for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) tournament that's set to be played on Thursday November 2nd at 7 pm.
National Election Day is November 7th and many Otterbein students aren't aware of what they will be voting for on their local ballot. Some of the issues included in the upcoming ballot for Westerville include rights for crime victims, state agencies paying for prescription drugs, liquor policies, and officials for the city.
Otterbein radio station, WOBN, will be hiring five positions. The positions include: Station Manager, Music Director, Traffic & Continuity, Station Administrator and Sports. Applicants will be reviewed starting Friday November 3rd and hiring will begin on November 6th. Positions will start January 2018 and end in December. Otterbein students are speaking out about the 4 percent increase in room and board expenses for the 2018-2019 school year and none of them are happy about it. Students are distraught about the price increasing since many students choose which college or university to go to based on financial ability.
Greek life's new member education process has begun and Otterbein is taking steps to prevent hazing and raise awareness. On October 19 a meeting was held for Greek life members to go over Otterbein's hazing policy.
The 2017 parking survey and summary was released by the Otterbein Police Department on October 23rd. The yearly survey answers many of the complaints from students in regards to where parking spots are on campus.
Haylie Schmoll, vice president of Otterthon, gives information about the organization. Otterthon is a student-run organization that raises money and awareness for the local Nationwide Children's Hospital. Otterthon also organizes family nights for the patients, runs in the Columus marathon and visits children in the hospital.
The Otterbein University board of trustees unanimously voted Saturday to increase room and board expenses by 4 percent. The 2017 year marks the fifth year without an increase in tuition. In the addition to the decision on the increase, the board considered university divestments in fossil fuel energy and ways to educate students and families about student debt.
