WPD Seeks New Police Officer Online

Ever wish you could be part of Westerville's finest? This may be your chance, and you don't even need to leave your dorm to apply.

Westerville Police Department is accepting online applications for a police officer position until tomorrow.

The first 50 applicants will be invited to take a written test, which will be administered at City Council Chambers on Feb. 21, according to the city of Westerville's Web site.

In order to be eligible, applicants must be A U.S. citizen, 20 years old and have a driver's license "without excessive violations."

Westerville police officers make from $22.95 to $33 hourly, which works out to about $47-68,000 a year.
