Relay for Life to return to Otterbein

Otterbein’s annual event to raise money for the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life will be held on April 17.

Relay For Life is traditionally anywhere from six to 24 hours, and groups raise money and take turns walking around the track to symbolize the fight against cancer. This event takes place all over the country, and many different organizations and institutes participate.

There are themed laps that take place through out the event as well as activities that campus organizations and other teams host in effort to raise money at the event and as in years past there will be a DJ booth.

This year’s theme at Otterbein is “Red, White and Relay.” The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., a change from previous years where the event has gone all night.

Participants are encouraged to register with a team or as a single member. Relay for Life will be held in the Clements Center. For more information on Relay For Life, go to relayforlife.org

Follow our Twitter @Otterbein360 on April 17 for live updates from the event.
