Westerville is honoring the fallen officers with blue lights and ribbons during the month of February

Westerville honors slain police officers

One year later, Westerville community glows blue to remember fallen police officers Anthony Morelli and Eric Joering

The Westerville community is still feeling the loss of two Westerville police officers killed in the line of duty last year.

Westerville police officers Anthony Morelli and Eric Joering were shot and killed while responding to a 911 hang-up call on Feb. 10, 2018.

Community members are encouraged to remember the fallen officers with blue lights and ribbons outside their residences and businesses throughout February.

The City of Westerville is recognizing those officers who helped during last year's crisis with an awards ceremony set to take place at Westerville North High School on Feb. 18.
