Otterbein names new football coach

Coach Tommy Zagorski will replace former head coach Tim Doup

Tommy Zagorski was named the new head coach of Otterbein's football team last Friday.

Zagorski formerly coached at John Carroll University, the University of Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky University, the University of Akron, and most recently, Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills, Ohio. While at John Carroll, he helped lead the team to the NCAA Division III playoffs twice. At the University of Tennessee, Zagorski coached as the offensive quality control coach and saw the Volunteers win the Outback Bowl in 2016.

Zagorski replaced former head coach Tim Doup, who was on the coaching staff since 2003, serving as the offensive coordinator for nine years, before becoming head coach in 2012.
