Otterbein kicks off homecoming with many events

Otterbein’s Homecoming and Family weekend begins Sept. 15 and lasts until Sept. 16. This traditional weekend brings many opportunities and events for students, alumni, and families to enjoy.

On Thursday, September 14:

  • The Golden Reunion for the Classes of 1973 begins. 

On Friday, September 15:

  • From 5:00-7:00 p.m., the Cardy Hour with Faculty and Staff will take place in the Campus Center west parking lot. 
  • From 7:00-9:00 p.m., the OtterFest featuring live music, food trucks, and more will take place in the Campus Center west parking lot.

On Saturday, September 16:

  • From 9:30-11:00 a.m., the Celebration of Otterbein will take place in Riley Auditorium in Battelle Fine Arts Center. This event will feature the alumni awards presentation and the State of the University Address given by university President John Comerford.
  • From 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., the Cardy Zone for kids will be available in the Campus Center west parking lot.
  • 11:00 a.m., the Homecoming parade begins at the Point.
  • 11:00 a.m., women’s soccer vs. Case Western Reserve kicks off at Memorial Stadium.
  • From 11:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m., the OtterFest resumes with live music from Otterbein Alum, food, and more.
  • From 12:00-1:00 p.m., the tour of the Frank Museum of Art, located at 39 S Vine St.
  • From 12:30-3:00 p.m., the OSJAXBSU 90s Alumni Cookout at the House of Black Culture, located at 154 W. Home St.
  • 2:00 p.m., the dedication of Kerr Hall will take place at 25 West Home St.
  • 3:00 p.m., the football team takes on Wilmington College at Memorial Stadium.
